Royal Challengers Bangalore, owned by liquor barron Vijay Mallaya have made headlines by releasing their star player Yuvraj Singh. The Prince of Punjab, who was bought for a whopping Rs 14 crore in last year’s auctions and becoming the highest paid cricketer of the tournament, is up for grabs for the IPL season 8. Reports suggest that skipper Virat Kohli was in favour of retaining Yuvi, but the management turned down his request. The franchisee has also released six other players from the team, including Muttiah Muralitharan, Albie Morkel, Tanmay Mishra, Ravi Rampaul, Shadab Jakati and Sachin Rana, which gives them a purse of Rs 21 crore for the upcoming auctions. Reports also suggest that the Royal Challengers may try to buy Yuvraj Singh(most costliest player of the season) bought by Delhi Dare Devils for 16. Cr INR once again, but at a lower price for this season
